The Viessmann Academy
The technical aspects of heating technology are getting more complex, whilst the product range is continually expanding. Heating systems for oil and gas, heat pumps, bioenergy, solar thermal systems, photovoltaics, combined heat and power, as well as air conditioning, require individual solutions in all application areas.
Only those that face up to the challenges of their everyday jobs and professions with flexibility and pertinent expertise can satisfy their customers in the long run. Today, knowledge of each respective specialism and the many different ways innovative technology can be combined to raise efficiency levels, including the use of renewables, is more in demand than ever.
This also raises the bar when it comes to the qualification of all trade partners in the heating sector. Further training, advanced knowledge and speedy processing of information are continuously gaining in relevance. The Viessmann Academy offers a widely structured range of courses in response to these challenges. These are aimed at contractors in the sanitary, heating and air conditioning sector, flue gas inspectors, design engineers, energy consultants, architects, housing associations, educational facilities, industry, commerce and municipal authorities. What's on offer clearly meets a good response – more than 92,000 industry specialists take part in Viessmann Academy training events each year.
Info Centre Allendorf sets new standards
At the company's head office in Allendorf, Viessmann has created a unique communication platform for the heating industry in the form of its Info Centre. From the small to the industrial output range, boiler and CHP systems operate in the energy centre and in the lecture rooms of the academy. Energy production from biomass can be learned in the company's own biogas plant. The permanent exhibition, a works visit and the Via Temporis offer visitors an impressive look at the Viessmann brand.
Tailor-made and wide ranging sessions for contractors
Commercial and technical courses are run by the Allendorf and Berlin Info Centres as well as by all 120 Viessmann sales offices, covering such diverse subjects as "Engineering and sales" as well as "Installation and Service" for each product category.
Training programme for design engineers
Apart from the technical sessions for contractors with application focus on detached houses and apartment buildings, the course for design engineers was recently oriented to also include systems with higher output. This includes the planning and engineering of medium and commercial/industrial boiler systems, steam boilers, combined heat and power modules, large solar thermal systems as well as the application of bioenergy and heat pumps with higher output.
